Neptune Chemical Pump Co., announced that it recently received recognition as an ISO 9001:2008 certified company. This certification covers the design, manufacture and testing of Neptune’s metering pumps, controls and accessories, portable mixers, chemical and polymer-feed equipment and controls, water-treatment accessories, and steam and water-analysis systems.

Neptune Chemical Pump received its ISO 9001:2008 certification from KEMA-Registered Quality, Inc., a leading authority in energy consulting, testing and certification. Its subsidiary, KEMA-Registered Quality, is committed to providing management-standard auditing services that are accurate and professional. KEMA was directly involved in the creation and publishing of the first ISO 9001 standard in 1987. ISO 9001:2008 was created to ensure that quality was not just a coincidence. By virtue of its ISO 9001:2008 certification, Neptune will now benefit from semi-annual or annual surveillance audits that will ensure that its management system is up to standard.

Receiving ISO 9001:2008 certification was the result of a months-long process for Neptune. After an initial inquiry and application process by Neptune, KEMA conducted a pre-certification document review and trial audit before for the final audit was conducted. That final audit determined that Neptune was capable of meeting the standards that KEMA requires for ISO certification.
